Privacy and Suggestions
Plain-language information about suggestion screening, publication, audio delivery, and data choices we can state without promising more than the current product supports.
Using guides
No account is required to listen. Audio delivery is handled through the app's hosting and object-storage services. Platform analytics may be enabled to understand broad use of the site. We do not state that the site uses no cookies or keeps no technical logs because infrastructure behavior can vary.
When analytics is enabled, we count interactions such as guide choices, playback starts and finishes, expanded sections, sharing, suggestion submission outcomes, community controls, and sponsor contact clicks. Custom events use public guide identifiers and fixed interaction categories, not suggestion text, private notes, contact details, or error messages. Reaching the end of an audio file is not evidence of a health benefit.
Comforting.ai does not send free-form suggestion text into analytics. Please avoid entering names, contact details, health records, precise locations, or any other personal or identifying information anywhere in a suggestion.
What happens to a suggestion
Submitted theme and private-note text is sent for automated screening using OpenAI. Suggestions that meet the product's respectful, non-identifying scope may be stored as an approved theme with the private note. Suggestions containing contact patterns or other disallowed content are rejected. Approved topic labels may later appear publicly in the community cloud; raw submitted text and private notes are not public.
Automated screening can make mistakes. A suggestion is not a confidential clinical communication, and the feature is not suitable for emergencies or sensitive disclosures. Do not submit personal details even if you expect a suggestion to be rejected.
